Ingredients
- 2 TBS shortening
- 2 pounds stew beef
- 1 can beef consomme
- 1/3 cup burgundy
- 2 TBS soy sauce
- Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp onion salt
- 2 TBS cornstarch
- 1/4 c water

Preparation
Step 1
1. Brown meat in melted shortening.
2. Stir in consomme, wine and soy sauce, garlic and onion salt. Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer one hour.
3. Blend cornstarch and water, stir into mixture
Serve over rice
