Ingredients
- 8 slices bacon
- 4 large onions, sliced into rings
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 2 15-oz cans northern beans, drained
- 1 16 oz can green lima beans, drained
- 1 16 oz can dark red kidney beans, drained
- 1 28 oz can pork and beans
Preparation
Step 1
1. Fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and drain on paper towel. Crumble.
2. To bacon drippings add onion rings, sugar, mustard, garlic powder, salt and vinegar. Cover pot and place on electric base. Heat at setting #5 for 20 minutes.
3. Add all beans and crumbled bacon. Stir. Cover and reduce heat to setting #3. Heat for 2 hours. Keep warm for serving at setting #3.
