Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 T unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 T milk
  • 1 1/4 cups white chocolate chips, few more to sprinkle on top

Step 1

Cream butter for 20 seconds, add sugars, cream together until light and fluffy, beat in egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, powder, soda, and salt, slowly add to wet ingredients. Dough will be very thick. By hand, stir in milk, fold in chips. Dough will be thick and sticky. Chill for at least 2 hours and up to 36 hours. Preheat 350. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Roll 2 T balls, place on pan and press a few chips on tops. Bake 12 mins. Cookies will appear to be undone and soft, allow to cool for 5 mins on sheet before transferring to wire rack. Cool completely.
