Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 T milk
- 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate morsels
- 16-17 rolos
- Coarse Sea salt
Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter for 20 seconds, add sugars and cream till light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl, sift flour, cocoa, soda, and salt. Slowly add to wet ingredients, stir in the milk, fold in the morsels. Dough will be thick and sticky. Chill 2 hours. Preheat oven 350, line baking sheet with parchment paper. Take 2 T of dough and split in half and roll each into a ball, stick caramel into 1 ball and top with other ball to seal down sides to secure caramel. Repeat with rest of dough, sprinkle sea salt on top before baking. Bake 12-13 mins. Cool on rack for 5 mins before transferring to wire rack. Cool completely.
