Fire-Roasted Ziti with Sausage

Ingredients

  • 8 oz uncooked ziti (abt. 3 cups)\
  • 1 can (28oz) italian tomatoes, drained
  • 1 jar (24oz) fire-roasted tomato & garlic pasta sauce
  • 6 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 C (8oz) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1 C (8oz) 4% cottage cheese

Preparation

Step 1

in dutch oven, cook ziti according to pkg. directions for al dente
drain, return to pot
add tomatoes, sauce & sausage to ziti
heat through over med. heat, stirring occasionally
stir in 1 c mozzarella cheese & cottage cheese
sprinkle w/ remaining mozzarella
cook, covered 2-5 min or until cheese is melted
