Ingredients
- 4 cups Diced Potatoes, washed w/ skin
- 1/2 cup Celery, chopped
- 1/2 cup Carrots, chopped
- 1/3 cup Onion, chopped
- 1 cup Diced Ham
- 3 1/4 cups water
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper, or to taste
- 6 T Butter
- 5 T Flour
- 2 cups Milk
Preparation
Step 1
Combine the potatoes, celery, carrots, onion, ham, chicken bouillon, salt, pepper and water in a stockpot. Bring to a boil until potatoes are tender, about 10 to 15 minutes.
In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Combine flour and milk in a empty water bottle or container with lid, and shake really well. Pour into saucepan with butter. Whisk constantly until thick. Stir the milk mixture into the stockpot, and cook soup until heated through. Serve immediately.
