Ingredients
- Cream Filling:
- 2 C sugar
- 1 C crisco
- 2 eggs
- 4 C flour
- 1 C baking cocoa
- 1 t. Salt
- 2 t van x
- 1 C buttermilk
- 2 t baking soda
- 1 C hot water
- 1 t baking powder
- 2 egg whites, beaten til fluffy
- 4 T buttermilk
- 1 C crisco
- 2 t van x
- 4-6 C 10x sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Cream sugar & crisco. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, cocoa & salt. Add & mix well. Add milk & van x. Dissolve baking soda in hot water & add to mix. Add baking powder. Mix. Drop by teaspoon & bake @400 for 8 mins.
For cream filling:
Mix all but 10x. Add 10x 1 cup at a time til thick.
Make sandwiches with two cookie & cream.
