Ingredients
- 10 oz of butter
- 8 oz of sugar
- 12 oz toasted almonds
- 8 oz dark chocolate
- 5 eggs
- Powdered sugar
Preparation
Step 1
1) Chop the chocolate and melt in a double boiler.
2) Chop the almonds coarsely. Separate the yolks from the whites. Then add the egg yolks, half the amount of sugar and butter with an electric mixer.
3) When the mixture is well blended, add the chocolate also, that in the meantime you will be warmed. Transfer everything in a bowl and stir in the chopped almonds.
4) After mounting the egg whites with the remaining amount of sugar, add them to the mixture and stir gently from bottom to top so as not to remove the snow.
5) Buttered and lined with parchment paper inside of a cake from the edges is not too high. Then distribute the mixture and bake at 180°C/360°F for about 60 min.
6) The oven must be preheated.
7) When the caprese cake is ready, let it cool and transfer it on a round tray. Garnish with powdered sugar.
