Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into 1" cubes, browned in oil
  • Green & yellow beans
  • Carrots
  • Onion
  • Pearl barley
  • Beet tops
  • Dill
  • Peas
  • Salt & pepper
  • Chicken broth

Preparation

Step 1

Simmer beef in chicken broth for 1 hour to tenderize. Add rest of ingredients, except for beet tops, dill and peas, and simmer for 2 hours. Add rest for last 1/2 hour.
