Party Sausage Balls
By Addie
“These are so easy that my brother and I could prepare them by the time we were 10 years old.”
Ingredients
- 1 pound pork sausage meat
- 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 1/2 cups biscuit mix
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 325ºF.
Combine sausage and Cheddar in a large bowl and mix with hands until well blended. Add biscuit mix and mix well.
Shape the sausage mixture into 1-inch balls. Arrange sausage balls on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake the sausage balls until sausage is cooked through, about 30 minutes.
Transfer sausage balls to paper towels to drain. Serve hot or at room temperature.

Grandma's Secret Tip
For a snack or party food that was ready when she was, Grandma prepared the sausage balls as directed, then let them cool. She spread them out on baking sheets and froze them, then packed the frozen sausage balls into resealable plastic freezer bags. She just popped them into a 250°F preheated oven for a few minutes, and they were ready to serve. They tasted freshest when thawed and served within three months.
