Chocolate Mousse Cups

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 3 (2.7 ounce) boxes chocolate liqueur cups
  • Garnish: dark chocolate and white chocolate shavings

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a small bowl, soften gelatin in cold water. Let stand for 2, minutes. Stir in boiling water until gelatin dissolves, set aside.

2. In a medium bowl, combine sugar and cocoa. Add cream, and beat at hugh speed with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Stir in gelatin mixture. Cover, and chill for 2 hours.

3. Spoon or pipe mixture into chocolate cups. Garnish with chocolate shavings, if desired.
