Ingredients

  • 1-lb. ground beef
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (30 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (15 oz.) carton ricotta or small curd cottage cheese
  • 2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 (8 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles, uncooked

Step 1

Heat oven to 350°.  Brown meat; drain.  Add sauce & water; simmer 10 minutes.  In bowl, combine ricotta or cottage cheese, 1/2 of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, eggs, parsley, salt & pepper.  Pour 1 c. sauce on bottom of 13x9" pan.  Arrange 3 uncooked noodles lengthwise over sauce; cover with 1 c. sauce.  Spread 1/2 the cheese mixture over sauce.  Repeat layers.  End with pasta & sauce.  Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.  Cover with foil.  Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.  Remove foil; bake 15 minutes.  Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
