Cheese-Garlic Bread Spread

Easy, cheesy, savory spread to transform regular bread into a taste sensation that pairs well with practically any dish. Cheese-Garlic Bread Spread goes especially well with pasta dishes or beside a fresh, lightly dressed salad. Ingredients
- 1/2 to 1 cup butter
- 3 teaspoons fresh garlic, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Microwave margarine or butter in medium glass bowl for about 40 seconds or until about halfway melted.
Mix in fresh garlic, garlic powder, black pepper, parmesan cheese, and grated cheddar cheese using a fork.
Spread mixture over bread of your choice. I use a one of those long sourdough french loaves split in half lengthwise, but I've also used plain thick-cut bread or split dinner rolls.
Place on baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes at 450°F or until top is golden brown. This recipe works well on the grill too.
