Ingredients

  • 4 c. fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 2 T. butter or margarine
  • 1 (9") double pie crust

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 425°.  Prepare pie crusts.  Mix sugar, flour & cinnamon.  Stir in blackberries.  Pour into crust.  Dot with butter.  Cover with second crust.  Seal, flute & vent.  Cover edges with foil strips to prevent browning.  Bake at 425° for 35-45 minutes or until browned.  Remove foil during last 15 minutes of baking.
