Frosting for Cookies
I like to use this frosting recipe to decorate cookies because it hardens slightly allowing me to stack the cookies and mail them, if I want to, after frosting and decorating them.
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Food Coloring of various colors, as desired
- Candies or decorating sprinkles, as desired
Combine sugar, milk and vanilla in a small bowl until smooth. Add additonal milk 1/2 teaspoon at a time if needed, to make it a smooth spreading consistancy.
Add food coloring, if desired. On top of frosting, decorate with candies like M&Ms or sprinkles if desired.
Allow to dry before storing in air-tight container.
