Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 cups chopped pears (hard pears)
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs, then add sugar, vanilla, and oil. Add flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and baking powder. Beat well-batter is very thick-add pears and pecans.

Pour into greased and floured loaf pans (2) or mini loaf pans (8). Bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 5-10 mins. until golden brown.
