APPLE - CRANBERRY CASSEROLE

THIS IS A GOOD SIDE DISH FOR ANY POULTRY MEAL. MY FAMILY ALWAYS WANTS IT AT THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS. IT IS MADE WITH FRESH CRANBERRIES, HOWEVER THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS AVAILABLE WHERE I LIVE AND I'VE ADOPTED THE RECIPE TO USE CANNED WHOLE BERRY CRANBERRY SAUCE. JUST LESSEN THE AMOUNT OF SUGAR. I DO IT BY TASTE.

- CASSEROLE
- 2 CUPS SLICED APPLES
- 2 CUPS FRESH CRANBERRIES OR 1 CAN OF
- WHOLE BERRY CRANBERRY SAUCE
- 1 1/4 CUPS SUGAR
- 1 STICK MARGARINE
- 1 CUP OATMEAL (NOT INSTANT)
- 1/3 CUP LOUR
- 1/2 CUP BROWN SUGAR
- 1/3 CUP PECANS

Step 1
CASSEROLE
MIX APPLES, CRANBERRIES AND 3/4 CUP OF SUGAR,(LESS SUGAR IF USING CANNED CRANBERRY SAUCE. PUT INTO LARGE BAKING DISH. MELT MARGARINE, ADD REST OF INGREDIENTS AND SPRINKLE OVER APPLE-CRANBERRY IXTURE. BAKE FOR 1 HOUR AT 350.
