  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 2 c. flour
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • Fruit preserves



Step 1

Combine butter & cream cheese; beat until smooth & creamy.  Add flour.  Divide dough in half; cover & refrigerate until firm.  Heat oven to 350°.  Roll dough to 1/8" thick.  Cut into 3” squares or use round cookie cutter.  Spoon 1 tsp. preserves in center.  Bring 2 opposite corners to center; pinch together to seal.  Place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake at 350° for 10-15 minutes or until lightly browned.  Cool; dust with powdered sugar.  *Variation:  Use 3 c. flour, 1 1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. sour cream for the crust.
