Italian Chocolate Love Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg chocolate cake mix and the ingredients on the package
  • 2 lbs ricotta cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 (5.1 oz) package instant chocolate pudding
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 8 oz cool whip

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350*F and spray at 9x13 pan
2. In a large bowl, mix cake according to package. Set aside.
3. In another bowl, beat the ricotta cheese, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until smooth
4. Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish. Spead to fill the pan evenly.
5. Once the cake batter is in the pan, carefully pour the cheese mixture evenly over the top of the cake batter. Spread to cover the cake as best as you can.
6. Bake the cake for 60 minutes
7. Remove from oven and allow to cool
8. Once cool, stir the pudding mix and milk together until combined
9. Carefully fold the cool whip into the mixture
10. Spread over the cooled cake
11. Refrigerate at least 6 hours
