Sombrero Spread

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 3/4 c chopped onion, divided
  • 1/4 c extra hot ketchup
  • 1 1/2 t chili powder
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 8 oz can of kidney beans, undrained
  • 1/2 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c chopped stuffed green olives
  • corn chips

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat and 1/4 c chopped onion in a skillet or chafing dish. Stir in ketchup, chili powder, and salt. Add beans, including liquid, and mash to mix thoroughly with other ingredients. Heat and garnish with shredded cheese, remaining onion and olives. Serve with corn chips.
