Jeff Mauro's Cheeseball

Ingredients

  • 3 8oz packages cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups shredded aged cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated romano
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3 cups toasted pecans, finely chopped in a food processor
  • 1 cup dried cranberries, chopped in a food processor
  • sriracha sauce
  • chips, veggies or chunks of french bread

Preparation

Step 1

combine the cream cheese, cheddar, romano, sour cream, hot sauce, wocestershire sauce, salt and pepper in a large bowl. using a hand held mixer, beat until combined.

plop the cheese mixture onto a parchment lined baking sheet and cover in plastic wrap. using your hands, mold the cheese into a football shape. remove plastic wrap, and cover cheese football evenly with the pecans and cranberries. using sriracha, draw football laces on top. set in the fridge for at least 30 mins to firm up.

Serve with chips, veggies or chunks of crusty french bread
