Preparation

Step 1

Combine 1 sack (10 oz) shredded sharp cheddar with 4-6 oz Gruyere shreeded cheese and 1 rounded tbsp flour. Then pour one cup German lager beer in pan and boil, when boiling add cheese in handfuls and let melt (when I do this turn heat down to simmer). When fully incorporated mix in 2 tbsp spicy brown mustard, a few drops of hot sauce and a few drops of Worcestershire sauce. Then add mixture to a heated fondue pot. Then dip thinks like vegetables, cubed bread, mini franks (cooked) or anything else. We tried this on 5/26/2008 Jackie and I liked it. The kids, surprisingly, did not like the cheese very much. The cheese was not very spicy. It would be good as an orderve at a party and not so much for a dinner.
