*FRENCH TOAST CASSEROLE

Preheat oven to 350. Cut a 16 oz loaf of bread into cubes and put in a lightly greased 11x7x1 ½ inch baking dish. Then whisk together ¼ c softened cream cheese, 1 tbsp softened butter. Then gradually mix in 1 ½ c milk. Then add 4 large eggs, one at a time, and whisk until blended. Then add three tbsp powdered sugar, ¼ tsp salt, one tsp cinnamon, 1 ¼ tsp ground nutmeg and 1 ½ tsp vanailla extract. Pour this over the bread and let stand 10 minutes to let bread absorb it. Then combine one tbsp powdered sugar and ¼ tsp cinnamon and sprinkle over the top. Then bake for 40-45 minutes or until lightly browned on top and set in center. Can garnish with respberries and maple syrup. We tried this 12-08 and all of us really liked it. There is a lot though.
