Ingredients
- 3 T olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 t cayenne pepper
- 1 t ground ginger
- 1 t dry mustard
- 1 t coarse salt
- 1/4 t allspice
- 1 15oz can tomato puree
- 1 t worcesteshire sauce
- 2 T molasses
- 1/4 c cider vinegar
- 1/4 t pepper

Step 1
1. Heat oil in saucepan over med heat/ Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring, until translucent, about 3 min. Add cayenne, ginger, mustard, salt, and allspice; cook just until spices become fragrant, about 2 min more.
2. Add tomato puree, worcestershire, molasses, and vinegar. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer, stirring often, until slightly thickened, about 15 min. Season with pepper. Use immediately, or cool and refrigerate until needed, up to 1 week.
