Preparation

Step 1

for dry rub add 1 tbsp brown sugar, 2 tsp ground cumin, 2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder salt and pepper. Rub into a 1 ¾ lb flank steak. Wrap in plastic wrap and can “marinate” in fridge for up to two days. Then grill on medium heat, approx 10 minutes each side. For blue cheese sauce add 1/3 c blue cheese, 1/3 c mayonnaise, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp white wine vinegar. Then put on 4 sourgough or ciabatta buns. I tried this on 11/3/09. Everyone loved it. I used one long French bread loaf. The sauce was not very visually appealing but Jackie liked it. The meat was a little tough but cooked all the way through. The recipe also calls for arugula. I tried it and it really did not add anything to the sandwhich. Ryan even asked me to make it tomarrow night.
