Preparation
Step 1
get 3 lb boneless pork loin roast and in large skillet heat oil and sear on all sides until brown, approx 6-10 minutes total. Then put it in a slow cooker set on low for 7-8 hours. Add salt, pepper and 1 c root beer. About 30 minutes before done in a large sauce pan mix 2 c root beer, 1 (12 oz) bottle chili sauce, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium and cook 8-10 minutes. When meat is done, remove and dispose of liquid and add sauce. We tried this on 5/4/09 and the boys loved it. Jax and I thought it was ok, it just did not have much spice to it. Also, may want to cook sauce longer as it was pretty liquidy and it did not stick to meat like BBQ sauce.
