HAM AND CHEESE PUFF PASTRY
- SEE BELOW
take one pkg of Pepperidge Farm frozen puff pastry and thaw it well. Preheat over to 450 and place a piece of parchment paper on sheet pan. Then take one of the puff pastry sheets and role out on a floured board to 10x12 inches and place on sheet pan. Then add one layer of hap and one of Swiss cheese leaving a one inch boarder. Brush boarder with egg wash of one egg mixed with 1 tbsp water. Then add second sheet puff pastry rolled to 10x12 and push down edges. Then brush entire top with egg wash and cut a few slits to let steam escape. Bake for 20-25 minutes and allow to cool. We tried this on 1/5/09 and everyone but Kyle really liked it. I did need to cook it about 15 minutes longer than receipe said. Kyle said he liked it but not with the cheese and I did not have sliced ham so I used pieces from ham from Christmas. I could use any meat and cheese.
