Chicken Lettuce Wraps

  • 3 T. rice vinegar
  • 2 T. brown sugar
  • dash ground red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 4 T. soy sauce
  • 3 T. canola oil
  • 1 lb. chicken breast, diced or 1 lb. ground pork or turkey
  • 1 c. diced onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 c. diced water chestnuts
  • iceberg, romaine or boston lettuce



Step 1

Mix together rice vinegar, brown sugar, red pepper, ground ginger, sesame oil and soy sauce, make sure to dissolve brown sugar and set aside sauce. Heat canola oil in pan over medium heat, add diced chicken or pork or turkey and brown. Remove meat from pan. Add onions and garlic to pan saute can add 1 tsp. soy sauce, when onions are brown and tender add sauce, browned meat and water chestnuts. Spoon mixture onto individual lettuce leaves
