Honey Butterscotch Topping

Ingredients

  • 2 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1/2 c honey
  • 1/2 c milk

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a heavy, medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, honey, and milk. Bring mixture to boiling over medium heat, stirring frequently.
2. Reduce heat. Boil gently, uncovered, for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Cool slightly. Serve warm over ice cream, cake, or fruit.
3. Cover and chill leftovers. Reheat in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.
