Deconstructed Lasagna


For those days when the process of making a lasagna is too much. This is a much easier version where the components of a lasagna are just mixed together

Deconstructed Lasagna 1 Picture


  • 1 lb beef, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 3/4 cup onions, chopped
  • 2 large cloves garlic, chopped or pressed with a garlic press
  • 2 tbs vegetable oil
  • 1 bottle chunky salsa
  • 2 tbs tomato paste
  • 1 tsp fajita seasoning (see my homemade fajita seasoning recipe)
  • salt
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles
  • Grated parmesan cheese

Preparation time 10mins
Cooking time 30mins

Step 1

Boil noodles according to instructions on box
Heat pot on medium high heat
Add oil
When heated add garlic and onion
Cook until onion is opaque
Add beef and cook until brown (About 10 minutes)
Add salsa, tomato paste, fajita seasoning
Cook until meat is tender
If liquid is drying up, add some vegetable broth
Layer noodles in two plates
Layer meat over noodles
Cover with parmesan cheese
