  • 1 lb. beef liver
  • 1/4 lb. suet
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tsp. salt

Step 1

Sew bags 5x11. Grind liver fine. Mix with milk first. Add oatmeal, whole wheat flour, suet and salt. Mix well until all is mixed together. Put in bags leaving about an inch before you tie the end closed, for expansion. Boil for about an hour and a half. Cool. When you want to eat it, slice about 1/2 inch thick and fry in butter. We like to top it with sugar when we eat it but some prefer salt and pepper.
