Ingredients

  • 2 apples peeled and cut into cubes
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 2 tbs brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbs unsalted butter (cut into small pieces)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (for garnish)

Preparation

Step 1

Start by spraying your crockpot with non-stick cooking spray. Add all ingredients, except the walnuts, in a bowl and stir. After the ingredients are well mixed, add them to the crockpot and cook on low for 7 hours. Remove the lid and add the walnuts. For extra flavor, add maple syrup or honey on top.
