Ingredients
- 2 2 2 1/2 small heads cauliflower (about 2 1/2 lb), separated into florets
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 3 3 3 cups mimlk
- 6 6 6 Tbsp refrigerated horseradish
- 1 1 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375. Cook cauliflower in boiling salted water to cover 5 minutes or until crisp tender; drain. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat; whisk in flour until smooth. Cook 1 minute, whisking constantly. Gradually whisk in milk; cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in horseradish and next 2 ingredients. Pour one third of sauce into a lightly greased 3 qt gratin dish or 13x9 inch baking dish. Add cauliflower, pour remaining sauce over cauliflower. Bake at 375 for 1 hour or until golden brown.
