Apple Cider Pork Roast (PC-BW)

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 (3-4 lb) pork roast
  • 3 cups apple cider
  • 2 apples, cored and quartered
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice

Preparation

Step 1

1) Heat oil and butter on high heat until sizzling.

2) Generously season the roast with salt and pepper, place in the cooker, and brown each side.

3) Add the apple cider, apples, salt, bay leaf, and allspice to the cooker and lock the lid. Cook at 15 psi for 80 minutes.

4) Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes before quick releasing any remaining pressure.

5) Remove roast, tent under aluminum foil for 15 minutes before carving. Drizzle with cooking liquid.
