Ingredients
- 5 cups tomato sauce
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 2 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 tsp. each of dried oregano and basil, crushed
- 1/4 tsp. each dried rosemary and thyme, crushed
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered, at least 2 hours. Cool to room temperature and refrigerate or freeze in appropriate containers.
