Easy Baked Pita Chips

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh pita (10-12" in diameter); may use regular or whole wheat pitas
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Heat an oven to 450°F. Using a pizza cutter, slice the pitas into 8-12 triangular wedges. Separate the two layers of each wedge.

Working in batches toss 25-30 wedges at a time with 1/2 Tbs olive oil and a few grinds of salt and pepper in a large bowl. Arrange the wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes, then flip the chips and bake for an additional 2 minutes until golden brown.
