Ingredients

  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 8 eggs, divided
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 TBSP sliced green onions with tops
  • 1 tsp butter and margarine
  • 2 pkgs (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/4 lb thinly sliced deli ham
  • 2 oz cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375. Place cream cheese and milk in batter bowl and microwave on high 1 minute - whisk until smooth. Separate 1 egg and reserve egg white. Add the yolk to the remaining eggs with salt and pepper to batter bowl. Whisk to combine. Chop bell pepper and add with onions to egg mixture. Melt butter in frying pan and scramble eggs until set but still moist. Remove pan from heat.
Unroll crescent rolls and press seams together on rectangle stone or bar pan. Cut dough into strips on long sides of dough leaving 6 inches in the center. Arrange ham evenly over middle dough ( I cut up ham and cook with eggs). Spoon eggs over ham. Spread shredde cheese over eggs. Braid roll by folding edge strips alternately over center filling. Brush with beaten egg white. Bake 25-28 minutes or until deep golden brown.
