Homemade Pecan Sandies

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of butter, 1/2 of it softened
  • 1 cup veg oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup conf sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups all purposed flours
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup sugar for decoration

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, vegetable oil 1 cup white sugar and confectioner's sugar until smooth
beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla
combine the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. Stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in pecans.
Roll dough into 1 inch balls and roll each ball in remaining white sugar.
Place the cookies 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven or until edges are golden.

Cool on wire racks
