Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. fresh asparagus
- 2 Tb. water
Preparation
Step 1
Snap off tough ends of asparagus. Remove scales with a knife or vegetable peeler, if desired. Place asparagus in an 11x7x2" baking dish with the trimmed ends toward outside of dish. Add 2 Tb. water, cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap, and vent. Microwave at high 7 minutes or until crisp-tender. Let stand, covered, 2 minutes; drain. Note: Micro-steam 1 lb. of fresh asparagus for 4-4 1/2 minutes.
