Mango-Green Tea Smoothie (Joy Bauer, Today Show)

Give yourself a jolt of energy with this refreshing green tea smoothie. The combo of caffeine from the tea plus protein from the yogurt keeps you alert and focused for hours.

Ingredients

  • 1 green tea bag
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup fat-free vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup mango chunks (fresh or frozen)
  • 3 - 5 ice cubes

Preparation

Step 1

Brew the tea bag in 4-ounces of boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove the tea bag and let the tea cool to room temperature.

In a blender combine the brewed tea, yogurt, mango, and 3-to-5 ice cubes, and blend until smoothie. Pour into a glass and serve immediately.
