Creamy Chicken or Tuna Noodle Casserole

Ingredients

  • 5 C uncooked egg noodles
  • 1 can low fat; low sodium condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 C lo fat or FF sour cream
  • 2/3 C grated Parmesian
  • 1/3 C milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna or 10 oz cooked chicken, cubed or shredded
  • 1 C frozen peas, thawed
  • 1/4 C chopped onion
  • 1/4 C chopped green pepper
  • -----------------
  • Topping
  • 1/2 C dried bread crumbs
  • 1 T butter, melte

Preparation

Step 1

- Cook noodles as directed on package
- Combine rest of ingredients in a large bowl; drain noodles and add to mixture
- Transfer to a sprayed 11 X 7 dish; combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over top
- Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 25 - 30 min. until bubbly
