SKILLET DINNER

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 C bread crumbs
  • nutmeg, to taste
  • 1/4 C grated onion and 2 sliced onions
  • 3/4 C milk
  • A 10 oz. package of frozen peas
  • 3 - 4 good size potatoes, sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Melt 3 T of butter in a skillet (electric frying pan is great) and cook the 2 sliced onions until soft and golden. Remove the onions and set aside. Blend the first 5 ingredients in a bowl and mold into balls. Roll the meatballs in flour and place in skillet. Add more butter if necessary. Cook until brown (about 15 minutes). Place the potatoes and onions on top of the meatballs and pour about 1/2 to 3/4 C of water in the skillet. Cover and cook for about 20 minutes. Pour peas on top and cover for another 5-6 minutes. Serves 4 - 6.
