    oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1

    egg

  • 1 1/3

    C sugar, divided, plus additional for sprinkling

  • Dash plus 1/2 t salt

  • 1

    C chocolate chips

  • 1 1/2

    C flour

  • 1

    t baking soda

  • 1/4

    C cocoa powder

  • 1/3

    C oil

  • 1

    T vinegar

  • 1

    /t vanilla

Directions

Preheaat oven to 350. Line cupcake pans with papers. Beat cream cheese, egg, 1/3 cup sugar and dash of salt in small bowl, until well blended. Fold in chocolate chips. In a large bowl, stir together 1 C sugar, 1/2 t salt, flour, baking soda nd cocoa powder. Blend in oil, vinegar, vanilla and 1 C water. Fill cupcake papers 1/3 full with batter. Top with heaping teaspoon of cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake 30 minutes. Remove from pans and allow to cool completely on a cooling rack.
