Beef roast with gravy

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh baby carrots
  • 1 can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 1 beef rump roast or bottom round 3 lbs
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 jar (12 oz) beef gravy
  • 1 10 oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix

Preparation

Step 1

Place carrots and mushrooms in slow cooker
Sprinkle roast with garlic powder and pepper
Brown roast in oil on all sides and transfer to slow cooker

Combine gravy, mushroom soup and onion soup and water; pour over roast
Cover and cook on low 6-8 hrs or until meat tender
Skim fat off gravy if necessary , serve gravy with beef
