Good as a snack, but great on leafy green salads with fruit like pears.
- 1 cup walnut halves or large pieces
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
1. Line a baking sheet with foil. Butter the foil.
2. In a heavy skillet combine ingredients and cook over medium-high heat, shaking skillet, but not stirring. Reduce heat to low and cook until sugar is golden brown, stirring occasionally.
3. Remove nuts to baking sheet. Cool and then break into pieces.
