Salsa Verde-Tomatillo Salsa

Ingredients

  • 12 tomatillos husked and chopped (should be about two cups)
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 3 serrano chiles, stems removed, diced
  • 1/4 cup of diced onion
  • 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
  • 2 teaspoons of lime juice (or to taste)
  • A small pinch of sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of peanut oil

Preparation

Step 1

Throw all the ingredients except for the peanut oil into the blender, and blend until it has a smooth consistency.
In a pan, heat up the peanut oil, and pour the blended salsa into the pan and cook, stirring for about five minutes.
Can serve hot or cold.
