Cari's Toffee Pie

Ingredients

  • 11/2 cups or 190 g plus 1 tbsp flour
  • 3/4 cups or 95 g corn starch
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2/3 cups or 150 g butter at room temperature
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 13 fl oz or 500 gr dulce de leche (real Argentinean one is the best) at room temperature
  • 9 oz or 250 grs Melted chocolate ( for me the best one is the dark one but you can use milk chocolate if you wish)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven 350F or 180C or Gas 4

2. In a bowl mix flour with cornstarch.

3. In another bowl mix sugar and butter until creamy add egg yolks , milk and vanilla. ( I use my stand mixer for this).

4. Incorporate the flour/cornstarch mix and blend until smooth.
