Strawberry Stuffed French Toast
- 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
- 3/4 cup strawberry jam
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- French or Italian bread
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
Mix cream cheese, jam and nuts. Cut Italian or French bread into diagonal pieces about 1 inch thick. Cut pocket in each slice. Stuff with mixture.
Beat together all batter ingredients. Dip stuffed bread slices into batter, coating both sides. With skillet on medium heat, brown both sides in margarine.
