Barilla® ProteinPlus™ Spaghetti with Red Onion, Grape Tomatoes, Romano Cheese & Thyme

Ingredients

  • 1 box Barilla® ProteinPlus™ Spaghetti
  • 2 red onions medium size sliced julienne
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 sprig fresh thyme
  • 2 pints grape tomatoes halved
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup Romano cheese grated

Preparation

Step 1



Bring a large pot of water to a boil

Meanwhile in a skillet sauté onion over medium heat with olive oil and thyme for about 10 minutes or until onion is translucent

Turn up the heat, add tomatoes and blister for two minutes, season with salt and pepper

Cook pasta according to package directions, drain reserving ½ cup of the pasta cooking water
