Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 + 1/2 tsp. unsweetened Dutch process cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups low-fat (1%) milk
  • 6 cups strong brewed regular coffee
  • 2 Tbsp chopped bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup thawed frozen light whipped topping

Preparation

Step 1

1. Whisk sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, cinnamon, and salt in a 5-6 quart slow cooker until smooth. Whisk in milk until blended. Stir in coffee and chocolate. Cover and cook until hot and flavors are blended, 1-2 hours on high or 2-4 hours on low. Stir in vanilla. If making ahead, keep warm on low or warm, up to 3 hours.

2. To serve, divide warm mixture among 6 mugs. Spoon 2 Tbsp whipped topping over each then dust with remaining 1/2 tsp. cocoa.
